AFTER CARE

The most important thing that goes into a successful microblading/permanent makeup procedure is how well the client follows the aftercare procedure. You want to make sure to keep the area moist with Aquaphor, all day long 24/7 for at least 10 days. This will allow the color to set in and avoid oxygen from hitting your brows and changing the color while it is setting in.

DO NOT WASH THE PROCEDURE FOR 24-48 HOURS!

Avoid for 10 days: Makeup (on procedure area), Extreme Sweating, Swimming, Tanning, Hot Sauna, and Laser/Chemical/Botox Treatments.

AFTER YOUR

APPOINTMENT

  • The day of the treatment: Absorb

Gently blot the area with a clean Paper towel to absorb excess lymph fluid. Do this every few minutes for the full day until oozing has stopped.  Removing this fluid prevents hardening of the lymph.
    Aquaphor Is Your Best Friend

  • Use a cotton swab to apply Aquaphor Ointment throughout the day for 2-4 weeks (the area should never be dry).

  • For the first Day right after the procedure, pat the procedure area with a paper towel every 30 minutes to remove excess blood/fluid.

  • Do not touch the procedure are with your fingers as they may have bacteria on them and create an infection.

  • We suggest Aquaphor because it tends to not cause inflammation, but if you are allergic, Vaseline will do just fine.

  • Always use a “total sun block” sunscreen until the area has fully healed to prevent future fading of pigment color.

  • Do not use products that contain AHA’s on the procedure area as they will fade the color (Example: Glycolic, Lactic Acids)

  • Additional Instructions For Lips

  • Ice your lips every 30 minutes on the day of the procedure to prevent bruising & swelling.

  • Avoid for 1 day: tooth paste and hot foods.

  • Avoid for 3 days: teeth whiteners, spicy food/drinks, lemon, salt, and vinegar. Use a straw for the following: coffee, wine, and any drinks that will stain. Wear a hat to shield the area from the sun when you go outside.

    Additional Instructions For Eyeliner

  • Ice your eyes every 30 minutes on the day of the procedure to prevent bruising & swelling.

FAQs

  • Microblading, a semipermanent procedure, The procedure is done by using a hand tool with ultra fine needles and each 'hair' is gently etched into the skin, giving an incredibly natural and realistic look. Microblading can dramatically correct or fully reconstruct lost eyebrow and is excellent for those wanting to enhance their brows or who have little to no eyebrows, thinning brows from age or over tweezed brows. Pigments used are chosen to match the natural or desired brow color and skin tone will also be taken into consideration.

  • The pain level for the procedure is considered mild to none. Prior to the procedure your brow technician will apply a topical anesthetic to numb the area, and also reapplied during the procedure. Everyone responds differently to anesthetic; depending on the client, the feeling of the procedure has been described as light cat scratches to not feeling anything. Topical anesthetics used may contain lidocaine. After the procedure, redness and slight swelling in the area is normal. Clients describe the area feeling similar to a light sunburn. Clients can take Tylenol but not aspirin or ibuprofen.

  • There are several stages which include; numbing, outlining the desired shape, the actual process of Microblading, and the fine tuning of the finished process. This usually takes roughly 2 hours.

  • The eyebrow area will be slightly red after the procedure and color will appear very dark. This is normal for the procedure and part of the healing process. The color will fade by up to 40% as it heals. In the following days, the eyebrows will continue to be dark and you will notice slight scabbing. Do not pick at the scabs as this may damage the skin and the outcome of the microbladed area. The eyebrows will lighten up in color as it heals. No down time is required after microblading procedure. It takes approximately 7-14 days for the brows to heal over, and about 1 month for the color to fully set in. You'll notice the color is very light right after the two weeks after healing; the skin will have an opaque milky looking quality to it. This is known as the milk skin and is common in tattooing. This is due to the the tissue still healing from the inside out even though the surface of the skin is healed. True color will reveal itself once healed.

  • Right after Microblading you look normal and your Eyebrows look beautiful. The pigment immediately following the procedure will appear quite dark, and the skin underneath it will be redness only around eyebrows.

  • $850 For New Clients Including Consultation, Eyebrow mapping, Contour and Color with one Free Touch Up From 4-6 Weeks.

  • The best results generally come from a two step process. Touch ups allow us to analyze how the color regenerates beneath the skin and add in areas that may have healed incorrectly. Healed results are unique to each client and we do our best to create a consistent experience. Touch ups are beneficial for color restoration, shape correction, and/or any fine tuning the client desires and are highly recommended.

  • In short, yes. However, healed results are unique to each client. In our experience, dry skin typically heals to a finer(crisp) finish, while oily skin typically leads to a thicker(soft) healed stroke. Results vary and can be attributed to a number of factors including; skin type, aftercare, and environmental exposure.

  • Microblading is not suitable for the following candidates:

Pregnant or nursing clients who want to microblade can be done at your own discretion. We suggest discussing with your doctor first. Microblading is still considered a tattoo, and just like with wine or sushi consumption, it is a personal choice to do so during this period.

    * SugarPop Aesthetics reserves the right to refuse service to anyone deemed “ not suitable “for this procedure or for any other reason. Our brow technicians make the decision to microblade an individual based on their own discretion. *

  • You must be 18+ to receive a service at Beverly Microblading Center. As a safety precaution, we refrain from working on individuals who are pregnant or nursing. If you have previously microbladed eyebrows by another artist, we do require a visual consultation via email before you are eligible to book an appointment. This is to ensure expectations and achievable results coincide with one another. If you are diabetic, you must insure your diabetes is well controlled. High blood sugar levels can complicate the healing process. We also refrain from working on individuals who are going through chemotherapy because they are at higher risks of bleeding and infection.

  • Since microblading pigments are not implanted into the skin as deep as traditional tattoos, the area will naturally fade overtime. Microblading typically lasts 1-3 years, depending on skin type (normal, oily, dry), age (youthful/mature). Skincare routine will also affect the lasting effect of the pigment: patients who tan, uses products with AHA or Glycolic Acid with fade faster as your skin will resurface faster. Each individual's color retention within the skin will vary. To maintain the brows looking fresh, a touch up is suggested every 12-18 months. Clients can let the microbladed area fade over time, but please note a slight shadow may remain.
